Kristin Fisher joined CNN on the 20th of July, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. In her position as the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the growth and advent in space travel. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin was raised in the space industry and worked for the past five years covering the Trump and Biden Administration's space policies as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. In that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trials as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' initiatives. The president of the time Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. Prior to being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate customers like Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors in Science in journalism from Boston University. She is currently living in Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their 3-year-old daughter.
